Clubs and Activities
Opportunities offered at Madison School include the following:
- Student Council - This opportunity is open to all students in Grades 4-6. Sign up is completed in the fall of each school year. Students are given an opportunity to present themselves to their class and to the advisors for election as members. Student Council members participate in service projects, run fundraisers and school store, attend a leadership conference every year, and serve in many other valuable ways throughout the school year.
- Battle of the Books - Open to students in Grades 4-6. Students form teams of 2-4 individuals and are assigned 20 books. Students compete in a trivia style event at the school-level. Competition occurs in January and the winning teams compete at the state level in February. Students will receive information in library classes.
- Running Club - Open to students in Grades 4-6. Club meets in the spring. Students support each other as they stay active, running together in the surrounding areas close to and surrounding Madison School.
- Girls on the Run - This is brand new to Madison School starting Winter/Spring 2025. More information to come.
- Safety Cadets - Open to students in Grades 5-6. This important leadership role in school is available to students in good standing academically and behaviorally. Cadets help to ensure the safety of our students before and after school, inside and outside the building.
- After-School Basketball & Volleyball - Open to students in Grades 5-6. Both seasons are approximately 6 weeks long, with volleyball starting in October and basketball starting in January. Permission forms are made available to all 5-6 students a few weeks before each season starts.
